Physical sunscreens (also known as mineral sunscreens) form a protective surface on the skin that reflects the sun's harmful UV rays away from the skin. Their active ingredients are natural minerals such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide. Physical sunscreens are suitable for all skin types and are not absorbed into the skin, but work immediately after application.
